National Association of Estate Agents   Leading professional body in UK of over 10000 estate agents. Unfortunately, it's a pretty spineless organization and of limited use in a dispute with a rogue agent even if he is a member.

Ombudsman for Estate Agents This voluntary scheme at least provides homebuyers with an industry body to turn to if they have a complaint about an Estate Agent. The catch is that the Estate Agent has to be a member (most rogues aren't) and compensation is generally quite feeble.

Trading Standards Central This is a key source for information about consumer protection in UK. Consumer complaints about Rogue agents are worth filing with Local Trading Standards offices.
